Still Life

Using classic lighting and careful composition, I photograph organic materials that have gone through a process of decay or burning, set alongside and elevated by my mother’s old and intricate tableware. Loaded with memory and nostalgia, the images explore questions of ethics and aesthetics. They deal with an illusion of solemn beauty juxtaposed with unpleasant and repulsive objects, including raw chicken skins and livers arranged as innocent sweets.

טבע דומם

בצילום טבע דומם, אני משתמשת בתאורה קלאסית וקומפוזיציה מוקפדת, אך בחרתי לצלם חומרים אורגניים שעברו תהליך של ריקבון או שריפה, לצד כלים עתיקים ויוקרתיים, במטרה לרומם  אותם בצילום. התעסקתי בשאלה של אתיקה ואסתטיקה בצילום. אשליה של חגיגיות ויופי של דברים דוחים ופלסטיים.  כך גם בחרתי לצלם אובייקטים דוחים, כמו כבדי עוף או עור של עוף. בשר חי שמעורר סלידה אבל הצבתו בצורה אסתטית וחגיגית למשל בצורת תופינים מפתים. בנוסף, השימוש בצילום בכלים או ב"מנג'טים" של אמא שלי, טוען את הצילום במטען ביוגרפי.
